We are open seven days a week and everyone is welcome, whether popping in for a glass of wine with a friend, a solo cup of tea or a full and hearty meal.

The day starts with an extensive breakfast and brunch menu and then progresses to a lunch and dinner menu combining café classics and modern British grill items. We also feature a great range of British oysters and shellfish. Throughout the day tea cakes and biscuits are available to eat in or takeaway. And, our bar specializes in quintessential British cocktails.

We also have wi-fi should you need to catch up on a few emails while you’re with us.

Our menus aim to champion great British produce and seasonal ingredients. The kitchen team combine modern cooking styles with time-honoured methods to create a happy combination of contemporary recipes and long-established classics – all pleasingly simple and hearty. We also work with nutritionists to create a few delicious healthy eating options and there is a special menu for children.

Our bar and small wine shop specializes in British craft beers and ciders, regional French wines, and classic British cocktails and spirits.

Our food market sells almost all of the individual ingredients that go into the menu. Some prepared foods are also available, along with picnic and snack foods, cakes, pastries and takeaway teas and coffees. There is a particular emphasis on farmhouse cheeses and creamery goods, seasonal vegetables and fruits, plus organic meats and fine poultry. Our grocery store shelves are also stocked with everyday items, such as jams, biscuits and teas, along with special occasion chocolates and artisanal gift foods.

We are literally next door to Tate Modern on the Southbank – the entrance to Albion is opposite the large taxi rank on Holland Street. The building is designed by Lord Rogers and the interiors are by Sir Terence Conran – a hard to beat combination. The dining room is light and airy with floor-to-ceiling glass walls allowing views of the landscaped gardens, and there is an active open kitchen. There are also tables available on our large heated terrace, many benefiting from views of Sir Christopher Wren’s St Paul’s Cathedral, Renzo Piano’s Shard and Sir George Gilbert Scott’s Bankside Power Station – now Tate Modern, with the nearly complete extension by Herzog & de Meuron.
